Shipping services - using order note for setting the shipping method by Linnworks rules engine

Please note that Mirakl does not provide a specific shipping service (aka carrier/postal service) because the seller can choose the shipping service they want to send the order. In this case, we are not providing any, because there's nothing to provide as postal service in order XML. Because of this, to ease the customer's workflow, we provide an option to set the shipping type as an order extended property and order note (shipping types can be many and they all depend on the marketplace, for example, UK Standard Delivery, UK Express Delivery, and so on), as it is not exactly a postal service, but a shipping type.

Enabling the marketplace channel settings to save the order note and order extended property in the Linnworks order details

Go to your Mirakl marketplace channel settings in Linnworks and enable the Add Shipping method as order note and order extended property setting.

Using Linnworks Rules Engine with Order Note to set the needed shipping method

If you have enabled the order note and order extended property setting as described above you can use the order note. If you check your order, you will see that, for example, you have an order note "Shipping method: Standard (STD)", which means that the delivery is standard and not express. By using this order note, you can create a new condition group rule and assign this order note to it.
