Please note that recently many Mirakl marketplaces require that the correct tracking links are sent when processing the channel orders. That requires the appropriate postal service to be created in Linnworks. And also you will need to do the shipping mapping. Link the newly created postal service to your existing shipping integration to be able to print shipping labels and use other functionality. This article describes how to do all of this correctly.

There are several steps described in 6 separate sections (but please pay special attention to Section 3 - that is the most important for the correct code to be sent to the marketplace):

  1. Linnworks channel shipping mapping - how to find in the marketplace carrier name needed for the Postal service creation in Linnworks;

  2. Marketplace account settings - how to find the marketplace carrier name needed for the postal service creation in Linnworks;

  3. Linnworks postal services - how to create a postal service for your Mirakl channel using the correct carrier name as Vendor code;

  4. Linnworks shipping integrations - how to do the shipping service linking for the newly created postal service;

  5. Linnworks channel shipping mapping - how to do the channel shipping mapping for the newly created service.

  6. Video walkthrough of adding & linking needed postal service in Linnworks - what is needed for the marketplace to receive the correct carrier name:

*Please note that the screenshots below show the situation when the marketplace carrier label is Royal Mail. So for different carriers, you will need to find their respective labels as described below.

Section 1: Linnworks channel shipping mapping - how to find in the marketplace carrier label needed for the postal service creation

You can find out the Service Name, Service Code, and Vendor you will need to use in your Linnworks Postal services screen by going to your Linnworks channel integration settings and clicking the Edit Channel Shipping button to access the Shipping Allocation screen.

There you can click + Add New button to access the list of available channel Shipping carrier labels and their codes in the Channel postal service dropdown menu.

When added to the mapping screen as in the screenshot below carrier label is visible on the Channel Sevice field. And it is the one you need to use as Service Name, Service Code, and Vendor in the Linnworks Postal services screen when creating postal service for the channel.

Section 2: Marketplace account settings - how to find in the marketplace carrier label needed for the postal service creation

Another option to find value to be used as Vendor code in your Linnworks Postal services screen is by going to your Mirakl account>Settings>Platform>Shipping>Carriers menu.

The Vendor codes to be used in the Linnworks Postal services screen for all the various available carriers as needed are under the Name column (not under the Code or Standard code field).

Section 3: Linnworks postal services - how to create a postal service for your Mirakl channel

Please see the below screenshot on how to create the Postal service for the Mirakl channel for example if the Mirakl marketplace Carrier Label for the service you need is Royal Mail. Please see the steps below to find the correct Carrier Label either from the channel shipping mapping screen or from your Mirakl account.

1) Set the Vendor field of Linnworks Postal service to the same name as the carrier Name called in the Mirakl marketplace (please see Section 2: Marketplace account settings - how to find in the marketplace carrier label needed for the postal service creation).

2) Please make sure also to enable the Tracking Number Required checkbox.

3) We also strongly recommend creating a new service and following the shipping mapping video - using/editing the existing Linnwors postal service sometimes can cause issues.

The correctly created Postal service for Royal Mail (if the marketplace Name is Royal Mail) will look like this:

Section 4: Linnworks shipping integrations - how to do the shipping service linking for the newly created postal service

You can view the existing links by clicking the View Links button. If no links are created, you will need to edit the shipping service linking as described in this Linnworks help article.

Please note that to use label creation and other functionality for the postal service you just created you will also need to do the shipping service mapping by going to the Shipping>Integrations>Services button next to the needed shipping service.

And linking it to the appropriate shipping integration by clicking the link button next to the service needed and then clicking the Pick button next to the Postal service you created for the channel.

You can do it by going to your Linnworks channel integration settings and clicking the Edit Channel Shipping button to access the Shipping Allocation screen.

When doing the shipping mapping please select the appropriate Channel postal service from the dropdown menu and link it with the respective Linnworks postal service (described in Section 3) in the next dropdown menu. When the correct selection is made click Add button.
