how to refund/cancel the order of Mirakl marketplace in Linnworks

Refunds of orders from Processed Orders in Linnworks are fully supported on all Mirakl marketplaces including support for the custom refund reasons provided by the marketplace.

Canceling orders from the Linnworks Open Orders screen on Mirakl is issuing a refund - this is also supported on all Mirakl marketplaces.

Also, the integration supports partial refunds and other RMA functionality available in Linnworks.

Before issuing the refund of the processed order (from the Linnworks Processed Orders screen) and canceling the open order (from the Linnworks Open Orders screen) please make sure that these prerequisites are met (these are the most common reasons why issuing a refund/cancellation may fail on Linnworks):

  • Order lines were not debited on the marketplace so nothing can be refunded;

  • The order is already in the process of a refund issued directly on the marketplace;

  • The account does not have enough funds in the balance to issue a refund (this is the most common reason).

Generally, the refunds, cancellations, and RMA functionality is similar to any other Linnworks channel, so please check also Linnworks documentation. The few Mirakl-specific differences are described below in 2 sections:

  1. Cancellation of Open orders;

  2. Refunding of Processed orders.


Section 1: Cancellation of Open Orders

Canceling Open orders - when canceling Open orders, you must ensure that the Cancellation notes feature is enabled in the integration's settings:

Once this setting is enabled, right-click an order > Other actions > Cancel order.

In a new open window, you should see an option to select called Send cancellation note to channel (if it's not there, then Cancellation notes are not enabled in integration's settings). After clicking this dropdown box, you should be presented with a dropdown menu containing several marketplace-specific reasons to select from. Select one that is fitting and issue the cancellation by clicking the Save button. The Internal Note field is not used by Mirakl.

Usually, cancellations are sent out to the marketplace in 2-5 minutes.


Section 2: Refunding Processed Orders

Refunding Processed orders - Refunding process & RMA acts the same way as in any other Linnworks channel integration. Please have a look at Linnworks' documentation page here.

When issuing refunds for Processed orders please also make sure that the Refund notes feature is enabled in the Mirakl channel integration's settings:
