There are 2 types of Mirakl configurators available in Linnworks - offer configurator & product configurator. You can select its type by clicking on the Settings button in the configurator creation screen:

Please note that the product configurator is created by default when creating the new configurator.
If you want to use it as an offer configurator please change its type to Offer configurator.

1) Offer configurator - to be used only when the product is already created in the Mirakl marketplace.

This configurator only creates offers. Products are not created when using the offer configurator. Because of that, it requires much less information:

  • only a few basic attributes are required;

  • category selection is not required;

  • the description is not required;

  • only one offer configurator is required per marketplace.

So we are recommending using the offer configurator in cases when the products are already created on the marketplace and only the offers need to be created.

This will help to save your time and reduces the complexity because you can list any offer on the marketplace with a single offer configurator.

You can search for the product by EAN on the marketplace to find out if it is already created.

If you can find the product by EAN on the marketplace then you can use the offer configurator to create the offer.

If the product can not be found by EAN then you should use the product configurator.

2) Product configurator - this should be used to create both product & offer for this product in the Mirakl marketplace. The product configurator requires much more information when compared to the offer configurator. And each product configurator can have only one category. Because of that if you are creating products in different categories you need to create separate product configurators for each category you will use.

But you should use a product configurator in case the product is not created on the marketplace (for example by the marketplace itself or by another seller).

And please remember to create separate product configurators per marketplace category - only one category can be selected for each product configurator.
